The Power Is Now Media Inc. Shines A Spotlight On C.A.R’s
Housing Affordability Fund

Riverside Calif. – May 27, 2021. The United States is in a crisis and has been for quite some time. This crisis is affecting everyone, both the haves and have nots. In 2018 one report found that a typical renter, working 40 hours a week and earning a minimum wage cannot afford a typical two-bedroom apartment in any state in the country! Affordable housing has become a crisis everyone is trying to avoid! Most people are cost-burdened with nowhere to go other than the streets.

It has also been shown that most homeowners and renters suffer are not aware of the numerous resources available to them, for instance, the Housing Affordability Fund (HAF) program from the California Association of Realtors (C.A.R). Speaking to Eric Lawrence Frazier MBAon the Real Estate Roundtable show about the HAF program is Sara Satuchan.

Sara oversees industry and broker relations, membership development, inclusion initiatives, and strategic initiatives for the California Association of REALTORS®. She is closely involved in the Association’s strategic planning efforts and is a well-known speaker in California’s real estate community.

Sara is the co-creator of WomanUP!®, C.A.R.’s Women’s Initiative designed to close the gender gap in the leadership of real estate firms. In her passion to affect change in this arena, Sara is dedicated to the empowerment of women through research, professional development, events, mentoring, and creating a community of advocates and supporters.

Sara is also responsible for identifying, building, maintaining, and reaching out to California Brokers in order to gain insights and spot emerging trends in the industry. In this role, she helps the Association establish a vision, identify new and emerging opportunities, maintaining key relationships, and highlighting diverse voices through diversity and inclusion initiatives, and implementing key strategic initiatives.

When asked about the HAF Program, Sara had this in mind. “Housing Affordability Fund was founded in 2013 and it’s really designed to work with local associations and other nonprofits to provide homebuyer assistance to Californians, and currently our housing affordability fund committee is dedicated to finding a statewide program or working with nonprofits in regions to help come up with a program that will touch on homebuyer or closing cost assistance for California and so that’s our number one goal for this year.” – Sara Satuchan.

This is a show that delves deeper to uncover one of the most powerful resources that when well used could help many people not end up in the streets.
