STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, a global residential real estate brokerage franchise network chaired by business magnate Warren Buffett, has added the Great Kills-based Cangiano Estates Ltd. to its family of agents and offices. The local real estate brokerage, which also maintains a New Jersey office, will now operate as Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices/Cangiano Estates under the leadership of local real estate professional Traci Cangiano.

“We are seeing increased interest in our market from buyers,” noted Cangiano, explaining that the association with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices will enable her team to reach a broader clientele and further enhance its existing efforts — “thanks to the brand’s innovative tools and marketing platforms.”

Cangiano, who was named Realtor of the Year in 2009 by the Staten Island Board of Realtors, served as the 2013 Staten Island Board of Realtors (SIBOR) president and held a position as the 2017 chairperson for the New York State Association of Realtors Grievance Committee.

She noted that by joining the Berkshire Hathaway network, her agents will gain access to the company’s active referral and relocation networks and will make use of its “FOREVER Cloud” technology suite — a powerful source for lead generation, marketing support, social media, video production/distribution and more.

“When people are making the decision of the magnitude of buying a house, it’s the biggest decision a great many families will ever make,” Buffett notes on the Berkshire Hathaway website. “They want to know who they’re working with, and we think that the Berkshire Hathaway name will be reassuring to many of those people.”

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices currently employs more than 50,000 real estate professionals, and maintains nearly 1,500 offices across 11 countries, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East, The Bahamas and India. In 2021, the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices global network represented more than $179.9 billion in real estate sales volume.

In this partnership, the brand will also bring its exclusive “Luxury Collection” marketing program for premier listings to the borough. Its Prestige Magazine showcases network members’ premium listings with a strong lineup of feature stories covering topics that appeal to high-end real estate clients.

“New York City has seen a significant increase in the number of visitors in recent months,” said Christy Budnick, CEO, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. “It is my pleasure to welcome Traci and her award-winning companies.”

Bringing over two decades of industry experience, Cangiano said her companies are now connected to more than 50,000 real estate professionals around the globe under this brand.
