The Power is Now

Renowned Fort Worth Real Estate Photographer Trey Freeze Joins Williams Trew – CandysDirt.com – Candy’s Dirt

There are multiple sides to selling a house. Trey Freeze of the Martha Williams Group at Williams Trew Real Estate is well versed in more than one.

Having worked in real estate for over two decades and established himself as one of Fort Worth’s most respected real estate photographers, Freeze has taken his license active again, and he’s ready to use his wealth of knowledge and experience.

“There are so many real estate agents out there, and everyone knows seven to 10 Realtors, so in thinking about what makes me stand out, it’s having been in so many homes and having such a large network of Realtors I have great relationships with,” says Freeze.

How did you get your start in real estate photography?

Trey Freeze: So, I had my license for 22 years. I got it very early on in Austin when I was there for school, so I’ve always been in real estate. I went on and did some other things earlier in my career.

When I moved back to Fort Worth to be closer to family, I was looking for something where I could be creative and still have a business. I loved real estate and creativity. I asked a friend in real estate whether they use photographers, and he said, “yes.” He told me, “if you figure it out, I guarantee people will use you.”

I bought the camera gear and taught myself off of YouTube. I approached Martha Williams and asked her if she would give me a shot, and she said, “absolutely!” She really loved my initial work, so she started using me, and all the agents under her started using me.

What was your motivation to take your license active again?

Freeze: I’ve been doing photography for 14 years, and I work for most of the top agents in Fort Worth and to the west. They would always ask me about pricing and what I thought about the house.

For years, they would talk to me about real estate. I just have a unique perspective because I’ve been in so many houses throughout the years. I’ve been in close to 7,500 houses taking pictures. I just thought, I have such a unique perspective, I need to get back into it

I’ve been looking for the right opportunity to get back into real estate, and I saw the market starting to normalize again. I just thought, right now is the perfect time for me. I kind of got the opportunity to reinvent myself. I can now create the life that I want for my son, and I can do that for my clients too.

These people are starting new chapters in their lives, and that’s what I’m really excited about ― helping people start a new chapter. I’m an empathetic person and I understand what people are going through, and I’m excited to help people make that transition.

What stands out to you about Williams Trew?

Freeze: I joined Martha Williams’s team at Williams Trew. Martha is one of the most respected and longest-working Realtors in Fort Worth. And she’s one of the nicest, most down-to-earth people in the world. I’ve worked with her for so long [taking pictures], and I had such a great relationship with her and her assistant, I knew she would be the first I’d ask. I asked her, and she said, “I’d love to have you on my team,” and that was just kind of a sign.

For me, it’s really about who’s the most respected and who does the most business, and she’s it. And William Trew has been in business for a long time and is very respected around town.

Do you enjoy any other forms of photography as well?

Freeze: I do. I really like taking pictures of animals. If I’m ever photographing a farm or a ranch, I’m drawn towards the horses, or even cows and donkeys. I don’t know what it is about horses that I love, but I love taking pictures of them and being by them.

Some of the landscapes too I really like. Like, if I’m out and there’s a really pretty sunset, I’ll photograph it.

What other hobbies do you enjoy outside of real estate?

Freeze: I’ve always been involved in music. I come from a long line of musicians. I play the guitar and mandolin. I go to a lot of concerts, and away from work, I try to be around music as much as possible.

I also try to spend as much time with my son as possible, whether that’s playing basketball or getting outside to the park or lake.
