Courses are typically offered for two days, and they focus on topics like contracts, disclosures, financing, and appraisal. Pennsylvania residents who take this supplemental course become eligible to sit for the New Jersey real estate licensing exam.

Course Format

According to the school, the New Jersey Real Estate Commission has been allowing schools to run their salesperson licensing classes in a live, online format. This means you can pursue your real estate licensing exam preparation at the dates and times they list on their website, but that you’ll need to log in with a computer (or another mobile device) and have a reliable internet connection.

You’re required to attend class at least 80% of the time for successful completion of the salesperson and broker pre-licensing courses.

The Real Estate School doesn’t specify the credentials of their instructors or even who they are. However, the school does say it employs two salaried staff instructors on a full-time basis, as well as two licensed real estate attorneys who offer their expertise as guest lecturers.

The Real Estate School is licensed by the New Jersey Real Estate Commission and the Pennsylvania State Real Estate Commission. While it does not post its state exam pass and fail rates, it does boast an array of positive student testimonials and recommendations. In fact, The Real Estate School reports a 99.81% customer satisfaction rate among students who completed coursework from March 2018 to March 2019.

Note, however, that testimonials and reviews have not been updated since before the pandemic, and thus user experiences documented are from courses that took place in an in-person setting instead of using the current live online format.

The school’s salesperson course costs $395, and continuing education courses run from $39 to $119. The school does not currently have any open broker exam preparation courses available.
