Forbes Global Properties joins the worldwide real estate community in mourning the loss of Jeff Hyland. A respected industry leader for five decades, Jeff was the Co-Founder and President of Forbes Global Properties and the guiding force behind the dream and vision that created the international network and luxury platform.
A consummate broker and acclaimed architectural historian, Jeff’s accomplishments and contributions were many and great. Alongside his longtime business partner, Rick Hilton, he built the esteemed luxury brokerage Hilton & Hyland, the highest producing single office luxury boutique brokerage in the world.
He was named “The Gatekeeper of Beverly Hills” by Town & Country and was the author of “The Legendary Estates of Beverly Hills,” a book that celebrates the history and architectural significance of Southern California’s famed properties.
Jeff was a member of the Board of Councilors of USC School of Architecture and served as President of the Beverly Hills Board of Realtors, President of the Los Angeles County Board of Real Estate, and as State Director for the California Association of Realtors. He was also the recipient of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art’s Legacy Award and The Will Rogers Real Estate Lifetime Achievement Award from the City of Beverly Hills.
Colleagues and friends from across the globe benefited from his generosity of time, expertise, and creativity. He was a consummate broker, empowering mentor, and an enthusiastic architectural historian. Jeff touched us all with his energy, spirit, and warm, beautiful heart.
