The Power is Now

Molly Haines McKay Builds Dynamic Real Estate Team In Coronado – Coronado Eagle and Journal

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties is proud to announce that Molly Haines McKay, a member of a fifth-generation Coronado family and longtime Coronado-based real estate broker associate, has formed McKay & Associates, a full-service team devoted to going the extra mile for clients.

“After 12 years of serving the community in the Coronado Uptown office, we have expanded our capabilities to be a one-stop-shop for every transaction, from start to finish,” McKay said. “And we don’t go away once the process is over. We care about our clients before, during, and after the transaction. We are super-communicative and committed to providing every buyer and seller the attention they deserve.”

Having surpassed the $150 million mark in property sales recently, McKay and her team deliver the highest level of professional expertise and personal service that the industry has to offer. She has been honored with top-producer awards since 2015, and recently received the 2020 Chairman’s Circle Platinum Award, placing her among the top 1 percent of all agents in the global Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices network. She also was named 2018 REALTOR® of the Year by the Coronado Real Estate Association.

An agent since 2009, McKay entered the business as it was coming out of the subprime mortgage crisis. Working through that experience was advantageous, she said, because it strengthened her work ethic and helped her understand the ups and downs of the real estate market – a skill that benefits her clients to this day.

Joining McKay at McKay & Associates is agent Carrie Mickel, a military-relocation and luxury homes-specialist; and agent/transaction coordinator Lindsey Lyons, both longtime Coronado residents. As a former Navy spouse for 18-plus years, and having moved many times herself, Mickel has a profound understanding of the many stresses that can be associated with buying and selling a home. She was proud to achieve the President’s Circle Award in 2020, earning her a spot in the top 6 percent of more than 50,000 sales associates in the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices global network. Lyons excels at getting properties market-ready, navigating the transactional side of escrows, and sharing her local knowledge with buyers and sellers as they achieve their goals.

In addition to her superior knowledge of the real estate market in her hometown, McKay has significant expertise representing sellers and buyers of historic homes. She confidently navigates the historic review process, understands the tax advantages under the California Mills Act, and explains the resources of the Coronado Historic Resource Commission to her clients.

“We want our clients to consult us from the minute they start thinking about selling or buying,” McKay said. “We provide personalized service and prioritize our clients’ goals. We are accessible, genuine, and work hard to strategize how to get the most money for our clients.”

Very active in their community, McKay and her husband love spending time with their two sons at Coronado’s beaches and the Coronado Yacht Club. If you are looking for a team that provides clients the highest level of service not only in Coronado but throughout San Diego County, contact McKay at 619-985-2726 or mollyhainesmckay@gmail.com, Mickel at 619-630-3570 or carriemickel@bhhscal.com, or Lyons at 619-405-9208 or lindseyblyons@gmail.com.
