The Power Is Now conducts every week exclusive interview with industry leaders to make sure that you stay up to date with the current developments.

Melissa Chapman is the 2018 President of the Lake County Association of Realtors. She has been in the Lake County area for over 25 years. Melissa is a full-time realtor who understands that the landscape of buying and selling real estate is dynamic.  Her team is dedicated to making sure that every transaction in the buying and selling process goes smoothly. She is always available for her clients, a character she very much takes pride in. Melissa was a listing agent for multiple banks for 7 years during the downturn.

Scott Knickmeyer is the MLS Coordinator for the Lake County Association of Realtors. Scott began his career in the Technology and Management where he used to work as a Programmer and Systems Engineer. Throughout his career, Scott supported sales representatives and facilitated a variety of projects which led to the sale of Multi-million-dollar computer systems. After leaving the technology sector, Scott pursued a career in real estate and joined the LCAOR.

Ron Tackett serves as The Housing Program Director for USDA Rural Development working out of the Davis, California office Managing Single Family Housing Guarantee (Moderate Income-115% of MHI), and Direct Loan (Low-Income-80% of MHI) Programs, for the State of California. Working out of eighteen local USDA Service Centers, total loan activity in these programs total approximately $600 million annually providing many Californians with affordable home loans throughout Rural California

In today’s show Eric will be discussing the State of Lake County Realtor Association, the training opportunities and events at the LCAOR into the foreseeable future. There will also be discussions about the LCAOR policy changes, critical MLS & legal updates, the impact of the fires on the housing inventory and life in general in Lake County.

Ron Tackett, will talk about the USDA program and its evolution over the years.  He will discuss the types of properties and Rural areas eligible for USDA as well as loan qualifying guidelines.  Ron’s brings a wealth of experience and knowledge about the USDA program.  Don’t miss the show.
