The Equal Credit Opportunity Act makes it illegal to base credit decisions on:
- Race
- Religion
- Marital status
- Color
- National origin
- Exercising in good faith your rights under the Consumer Credit
Protection Act - Receipt of any sort of public assistance
- Sex
