The Dulles Area Association of Realtors is kicking off a new program in partnership with the National Association of Realtors that aims to drive diversity in the real estate community, according to a recent press release.
The program will match realtors with mentees of diverse backgrounds who will learn the fundamentals of the industry with the goal of pursuing a career in real estate.
“DAAR is excited to take part in this innovative mentorship program,” said DAAR CEO Amanda Brewer in a prepared statement. “Our hope is that this opportunity will enable diverse, new talent to not only discover a career path in real estate, but also inspire them to help others achieve their dreams of property ownership in Loudoun County.”
Mentees do not need to have a current real estate license or any knowledge of the industry to participate.
The program will provide exposure and education related to all facets of the industry including commercial real estate, appraisals, home inspection, property management, marketing, IT, mortgage banking and more.
Applications are currently being accepted through May 31. To participate in the program or for more information, visit dullesarea.com.
