About 100 more homes have sold so far in Onondaga County so far this year, compared to the same time in 2020. And average home prices are up 12% in a market that was already booming.

So far, 1,418 homes have sold, compared to 1,309 from January 1 to May 12, 2020.

The average home price is $210,000, up from $187,000 the year before.

Still, there are fewer homes for sale at a time when buyers want more space for work and play.

Prices continue to be especially high in lakeside towns of Otisco, Spafford and Skaneateles.

Each week, the Central New York Information Service publishes the number of sales and average prices for each town and the city of Syracuse.
