In August, some of Arizona’s top commercial real estate leaders gathered for the 8th annual AZRE Forum to offer a mid-year update on the market. While a lot of information was shared by the experts who sat on the panels, there were some questions — particularly real estate law questions — that came out of the forum. One of the big legal issues that arose recently in the real estate industry is the future on the iBuyer after Opendoor agreed to pay a $62 million dollar penalty to settle allegations of misleading potential home sellers. The Federal Trade Commission claims the Tempe-based online real estate business tricked sellers into thinking they could make more selling their homes to Opendoor rather than a traditional buyer.

• With changing and evolving office space needs in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, what can business leaders do to amend leases to better fit their current staffing issues?
