NAHREP stands for the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals®. It is the voice for the Hispanic Real Estate® and a proud lobbyist of homeownership for the Hispanic Community. In all standards, homeownership is the prime symbol of the American Dream, it is the cornerstone of wealth creation and a stabilizing force for the working families.
NAHREP was founded in 1999 with a single purpose to provide advocacy and homeownership literacy “to help more Hispanic families achieve the American Dream” of homeownership. Ever since its humble beginning, the association has grown to more than 30,000 members, with 58 chapters nationwide. In addition to serving the families, NAHREP has a host of other benefits to its members. Its Icons Mastermind group, for instance, offers networks and information sharing sessions. The organization’s professional and business development events are designed to help the Hispanic Leaders in the field of residential real estate become an intrinsic part of the Latino housing industry.
NAHREP also partners with corporations, which in turn provides the association’s members with various types of support, including but not limited to networking opportunities, advocacy for the Hispanic real estate market, leadership development through mentorship opportunities and other types of professional and business development programs. Some of the major partners include the Alterra Home Loans, Bank of America, Chase, Freddie Mac, New American Funding, Quicken Loans among others.
NAHREP is currently the largest minority real estate trade association with over 30,000 members. Since its inception in 1999, NAHREP has held annual conventions and this year, the convention is taking place March 16-18 in Washington DC. The National Convention is NAHREP’s marquee event of the year where some of the top-producing real estate professionals, industry experts, and corporate executives convene for education, networking, and entertainment. This year’s convention will be joined together with the Housing Policy Summit, which was an event originally held every year in Washington DC. Housing Policy Summit convenes industry professionals, top government officials, and high ranking housing and real estate executives in one gathering to take part in education, insight, and advocacy.
Join NAHREP’s National Convention & Housing Policy Summit which will be the site for the release of the annual State of Hispanic Homeownership Report, which highlights the homeownership and economic progress of the Latino Community in the United States over a time span of 12 months.
Some of the keynote speakers during this year’s NAHREP National Convention and Housing Policy Summit include David Acosta-the 2019 NAHREP President, Garry Acosta-NAHREP Co-founder, Patty Arvielo-President New American Funding, David Brickman-CEO Freddie Mac among so many others. Find out more here.
According to the organization’s website, there will be a real estate CEOs panel which is mainly composed of the leading CEOs in the real estate industry to discuss the market, emerging trends, best practices and the opportunities for growth in the coming years. This will be followed by other educational forums for professionals, for example, the best podcast for real estate practitioners, information about instant offers (iBuyers) and the State of Hispanic Homeownership report. See the Agenda here.
These will be three days of action-packed with nothing but valuable information. Set a date, mark it in your calendar and let’s meet at the 2020 NAHREP National Convention & Housing Policy Summit.
